Builder Settings: Custom Configuration
This guide explains the various Builder Settings you can configure in the Build A Gangsheet App for Standalone API. These settings give you control over file uploads, image quality, and the overall customer experience when using the Gangsheet Builder.
1. Accessing Builder Settings
In the Builder tab, you will find a variety of options, including Supported File Types, Auto Resize Image to Meet 300 DPI, Enable Canva, Enable Background Warning, Automatically Resize the Image for a Single Image Variant, Spacing, Tools, and others. These settings are customizable to fit your specific needs.
pgsql Copy2. Supported Upload File Types
The "Supported Upload File Types" setting allows you to specify which file formats customers can upload for their gang sheets. You can configure this to accept a range of image types, ensuring compatibility with your system.
3. Auto Resize Image to Meet 300 DPI
The "Auto Resize Image to Meet 300 DPI" feature automatically resizes any uploaded images to meet optimal print resolution. If an image is of poor quality, it will lose resolution when expanded on the gang sheet. The system will alert the customer three times about the potential quality issues.
Tip: Always ensure that the uploaded images are of high resolution to avoid loss of quality when resized.
4. Image Quality and Notification
Every image on the gang sheet will have a box outline that alerts customers to the quality of the image. If an image is enlarged and loses quality, the system will provide a notification to inform the customer.
5. Save & Add to Cart
Once the customer is satisfied with their gang sheet, they can click "Save & Add to Cart" to proceed to checkout. If the image quality is low, a warning will prompt them before they can proceed.
6. Low Resolution Image Warning
When a customer uploads a low-resolution image, they will receive a warning indicating that the image might not print well due to its resolution. This helps avoid issues with print quality after submission.
7. Remove Image Option
If a customer wishes to remove an image from the gang sheet, they can easily do so by clicking the "Remove Background" option. This will delete the image from the design.
8. Enable Canva Integration
The "Enable Canva" feature allows customers to integrate their Canva designs directly into the gang sheet builder. This makes it easier for customers to create and upload custom designs using Canva’s tools.
9. Background Warning
The "Enable Background Warning" feature helps prevent customers from uploading images with unwanted background elements or specs. This ensures that the final design remains clean and professional.
10. Upload Image
Customers can upload their image directly into the gang sheet builder. After uploading, they can adjust the image to fit their design preferences.
11. Adjust Image Spacing
The "Image Margin" setting allows you to control the spacing between images on the gang sheet. This ensures a neat and organized layout for each customer’s design.
12. Custom Colors for Text and Image Overlays
The "Custom Text Colors" and "Custom Image Overlay Colors" settings allow you to create color options that customers can use for text and image overlays in their designs. This is useful for businesses that need to match specific brand colors or for customers who want unique design options.
Tip: These settings are particularly useful for businesses working with local teams or specific color schemes.
13. Auto Build Feature
The "Auto Build" feature allows customers to upload multiple designs at once. The system will automatically generate gang sheets that fit the customer’s uploaded designs and organize them accordingly.
14. Enable Flipping of Images and Text
The "Enable Flipping Over Image/Text" feature allows customers to flip their images and designs within the gang sheet builder, offering greater flexibility in their design process.
15. Collect Shipping Addresses
If you want to collect customer shipping information during the checkout process, you can enable the "Collect Shipping Addresses on Checkout" feature. This helps streamline order fulfillment by automatically collecting the required shipping details.
16. Enable Agree Modal
The "Enable Agree Modal" feature is designed to protect your business. It requires customers to confirm that they own the copyrights to their designs and are responsible for the quality of the artwork before proceeding with the purchase. This feature helps prevent legal issues related to design ownership and print quality.
17. Change Default Language
The "Default Language" setting allows you to change the app's language, enabling you to serve a broader audience. Customize this option to cater to your customer base in different regions.
18. Enable Live Chat
The "Enable Live Chat" feature connects your live chat service to the app, allowing you to communicate with customers in real-time. This can enhance customer support and improve user experience during the design and checkout process.
Why Use These Features?
- Enhance the customer experience by providing tools for customizing designs and ensuring optimal image quality.
- Streamline the design process with auto-building and custom spacing features.
- Protect your business legally with the "Agree Modal" and improve operational efficiency by collecting shipping information automatically.
