Builder Settings – Enable Background Warning

This guide will show you how to enable the Background Warning feature in the Builder settings of the Build A Gangsheet App. Enabling this option helps alert customers if their uploaded images contain background artifacts that may impact print quality.

Step-by-Step: Enabling Background Warning

  1. From the dashboard, click the Gang Sheet tab.
  2. Select Update More to expand the available menu options.
  3. Navigate to the Settings section.
  4. Click Settings again to open the full settings panel.
  5. Go to the Builder tab to access design-related features.

Builder Tab Options Overview

Within the Builder tab, you will find key configuration settings including:

  • Supported File Types
  • Auto Resize Image to Meet 300 DPI
  • Enable Canva
  • Enable Background Warning
  • Auto Resize for Single Image Variant
  • Spacing and Additional Tools

Activating the Background Warning

  1. Find the option labeled Enable Background Warning within the Builder tab.
  2. Toggle this setting on. Once enabled, it will automatically detect background specs or inconsistencies in uploaded images.

Customer Workflow After Activation

  1. Customers will upload an image using the design tool.
  2. The system will alert them if there are detectable background elements that could affect their print.
  3. Customers can then simply click Remove Background to clean up their image before finalizing the design.

Pro Tip: This feature is especially helpful when working with customer-submitted images that may include white space, shadows, or watermarks. Automatically alerting them improves print results and reduces the need for manual edits or reorders.
