Design Tab

The Design tab in Shopify lets you manage, preview, filter, and take action on all customer-submitted gang sheets. This guide outlines how to use every key feature inside the Design tab—from locating specific designs to editing and checking them out.

1. Open the Designs Tab

Click on the Designs tab to view all designs that have been created or ordered by customers.

2. Copy Design ID

Each design has a unique Design ID that you can copy for support, tracking, or reference purposes.

3. View Customer Names

You can easily see which customer submitted each design using the Customer Name field.

4. View Order Numbers

Order Numbers are displayed once a customer completes their purchase. Use them to track fulfillment status.

5. Use the Search Bar

Quickly find designs by typing keywords, customer names, or IDs in the Search field.

6. Preview a Design

Click Preview to open and view the customer’s submitted design before editing or production.

7. View Full Design in Preview

The Preview window will display the complete gang sheet in high resolution for review or QA.

8. Edit a Customer Design

Click Edit to make changes to the design—such as layout updates or adjustments before saving.

9. Design Editing Window

The selected design opens in the builder for editing. Make your changes, then click Save.

10. Proceed to Checkout

If the customer is ready to purchase, click Checkout to initiate the order process for the selected design.

11. Filter by All Designs

Click All to view every design regardless of its current status (draft, in cart, or ordered).

12. Filter by Draft

Select Draft to see designs that customers have started but not submitted or paid for.

13. Filter by In Cart

Click on the In Cart tab to view customer designs that have been added to the cart but are not yet purchased. This helps you monitor which designs are pending checkout.

14. Filter by Ordered

Select the Ordered tab to display designs that have been paid for. These are considered finalized and ready for production or fulfillment.
