Standalone
Builder Settings: Art Board and Image Margin
The Art Board and Image Margin settings allow you to control the spacing between uploaded designs and the edges of the gang sheet, as well as between multiple designs. This ensures clean formatting, optimized print layout, and professional output. Here's how to configure both settings in the Standalone Builder.
1. Access Builder Settings
Navigate to the Builder tab in your dashboard. This tab houses all customization options for supported file types, spacing, design tools, and layout settings.
2. Set Image Margin (Spacing Between Designs)
Enable and adjust the Image Margin setting to control the spacing between customer-uploaded designs. Once a design is added, spacing is automatically applied to avoid overlap and ensure clarity.
3. Adjust Margins Manually
You can fine-tune spacing manually by increasing or decreasing the margin value. This gives you more control over how compact or spread out customer designs appear on the sheet.
4. Choose Metric System
If preferred, switch between imperial (inches) and metric (centimeters or millimeters) units to match your production specifications.
5. Configure Artboard Margin (Outer Edge Spacing)
The Artboard Margin controls the space between the outer edge of the gang sheet and the closest design element. This helps prevent printing too close to the edge and ensures safe trimming zones.
Why Use These Margin Settings?
- Prevent artwork from touching or overlapping unintentionally
- Ensure clean cuts and avoid ink bleed at sheet edges
- Support consistent design placement across all orders
