Orders: How To Allow Customers To Edit Their Own Order
The Allow Edit feature in the Build A Gangsheet app enables customers to make changes to their submitted orders. This can help reduce back-and-forth communication and streamline the fulfillment process. Here's how to send edit access to customers.
1. Click "Build a Gang Sheet"
Start by accessing the Build a Gang Sheet interface from your Shopify dashboard.
2. Click "Orders"
Navigate to the Orders tab to view all submitted designs from your customers.
3. Click to Expand the Order
Click the dropdown tab under the order to expand it and see individual gang sheet details and actions.
4. Click "Allow Edit"
Select Allow Edit to initiate customer editing access. This prepares a link for the original buyer to update their design post-purchase.
5. Click "Allow" to Send Edit Access
After clicking Allow, the app will send a direct editing link to the email of the customer who submitted the order.
6. Confirmation Message
Once the edit link has been successfully sent, a confirmation message will appear on the screen. This indicates that the process was successful.
Why Use This Feature?
- Empowers customers to correct their own artwork or sizing without contacting support.
- Reduces delays caused by miscommunication or revision requests.
- Streamlines the order fulfillment process by pushing changes directly into your system.
