Builder Settings: Enable Dropbox for Your Customer
The Build A Gangsheet App includes a feature that allows your customers to upload designs directly from their personal Dropbox accounts. This guide walks you through the steps to enable and display the Dropbox upload option for customers during the artwork upload process.
1. Go to Settings
From your Build A Gangsheet App dashboard, navigate to the Settings section located in the side menu.
2. Access the Builder Tab
Within Settings, click on the Builder tab. This tab contains configuration options for the customer's upload experience.
3. Enable the Dropbox Option
Locate the checkbox labeled “Enable Dropbox.” Enabling this setting will allow customers to upload their artwork directly from their personal Dropbox accounts during the design upload process.
4. Save All Changes
After selecting the Dropbox option, click “Save All” to confirm and apply the setting across your storefront. Without saving, customers won’t see Dropbox as an upload option.
5. Verify Availability Across Products
Once saved, the Dropbox button will appear as an upload method for all products configured in your app, allowing customers to access files directly from their Dropbox account.
6. Customer Connection Required
Although you have enabled Dropbox, the customer will still need to manually connect their personal Dropbox account when using the uploader. This ensures that their designs remain secure and private.
7. Dropbox Connect Tab
After clicking to connect, the app will open a new tab prompting the customer to authorize access to their Dropbox account. Once connected, they can upload designs directly into the gang sheet builder.
Why Enable Dropbox Upload?
- Offers customers a more flexible way to upload their artwork from the cloud.
- Improves user experience by reducing the need to download files locally first.
- Supports fast and secure integration with an already trusted platform.
