Older Themes & Special Themes: How to Set Up Gang Sheet Products
If you're using an older or specialized Shopify theme that doesn't automatically support modern theme templates, this guide will help you set up gang sheet products to work with the Build A Gangsheet App. You'll learn how to organize product metadata, assign tags, and configure the product within the app interface.
1. Open Your Product
From the Shopify admin, navigate to Products and select the item you want to configure.
2. Update Product Organization
Scroll to the Product Organization section within the product editor.
Set the Type field to Gang Sheet.
Also, in the Tags field, add the tag Gang Sheet.
Note: You do not need to change the Theme Template even if you're using an older theme. The app will function correctly based on product type and tag metadata.
3. Open the Build A Gangsheet App
From the Shopify sidebar, go to Apps and select Build A Gang Sheet.
Inside the app, click on Products to access your product list.
Locate your gang sheet product and click Edit to open its app-specific configuration.
4. Confirm Sizing and Pricing
Ensure that all sizes for the product are correctly configured and that each variant has an appropriate price.
This ensures the app can render correct preview and pricing logic for your customers.
5. Save and Finalize
Click Save to store your changes within the app interface.
It’s recommended to double-check pricing and preview the product on your storefront to ensure compatibility.
