Builder Setting: Disallow Lower Resolution
The Disallow Lower Resolution setting prevents customers from uploading images that do not meet a minimum resolution standard. This ensures image clarity, especially when scaling graphics across larger gang sheets. This tutorial walks through how to enable this feature and define your minimum image resolution threshold in the Standalone Build A Gangsheet App.
1. Navigate to Global Settings
Start by opening the Settings section from the main dashboard.
2. Enter the Tab-Specific Settings
Within the general Settings view, locate and click into the tab-specific Settings to configure builder behavior for that particular product or layout tab.
3. Open the Builder Configuration
Select the Builder tab to access controls that impact image behavior within the design interface.
4. Enable "Disallow Lower Resolution"
Toggle on the option labeled Disallow Lower Resolution. This prevents low-resolution images from being uploaded by the customer, which helps maintain print quality and consistency.
5. Define the Minimum Resolution
Set your preferred Minimum Resolution value. This value represents the lowest allowable resolution (typically in DPI or pixel dimensions) for customer-uploaded images. Choose a resolution standard that matches your production requirements.
6. Save Your Changes
Click Save All to apply your settings and enforce the resolution requirement across the builder experience.
Why Use This Feature?
- Prevents blurry or pixelated prints by blocking low-quality image uploads.
- Ensures consistent quality across all gang sheet orders.
- Reduces customer service issues related to unclear image resolution expectations.
