How to Use the Image to Sheet Feature in Build A Gang Sheet

This tutorial will guide you through configuring and using the Image to Sheet feature inside the Build A Gang Sheet App on Shopify. You’ll learn how to set printer dimensions, add products, upload designs, configure pricing, and manage product tags for streamlined fulfillment and upsells.

Step-by-Step: Setting Up Image to Sheet

1. Go to the Apps section in your Shopify dashboard.
2. Select Build A Gang Sheet from your installed apps list.
3. Click on Settings in the left-hand navigation.
4. Select Image to Sheet from the submenu.
5. Enter your Printer Width (e.g., 22.5 inches).
6. Set the Max Height (e.g., 120 inches for a 10-foot roll).
7. Adjust your Image Margin for spacing between images, then click Save All.
8. Set the Artboard Margin for edge spacing. Tip: Set to 0 if no extra margin is needed.
9. Select your preferred measurement Unit (e.g., inches or millimeters).
10. Enter your Price Per Square Inch to automate pricing.
11. For Side options, choose either Width or Longest Side.
12. Add a Title (e.g., Toddler, Adult) and define its size.
13. Click the Plus (+) button to add more size options.
14. Use the Trash icon to delete size options if needed.
15. Click Save All to finalize your settings.

Uploading Designs and Creating Products

1. Go to Products in the app's left menu.
2. Select the Images to Sheet tab at the top right.
3. Click Add Products.
4. Use Upload Images to add designs from your device.
5. Select the images and click Import.
6. You may also use Import from Gallery and filter with Sort, Search, or Select Category.
7. Click Import once the designs are selected.
8. Edit the Title field to label designs clearly.
9. Use Remove to delete unnecessary designs.
10. Fill in the Product Type (e.g., UV DTF, DTF) for correct grouping.
11. Do not modify dimension fields directly; manage dimensions through Settings > Image to Sheet.
12. Use toggles to enable specific sizes for each product type.
13. Enable the option to show actual size with the variant name.
14. Click Create Products to publish to your Shopify store.

Managing and Viewing Created Products

1. Go to the Shopify Products section to view or add new collections.
2. Select your created product to view its details.
3. Confirm watermarked designs, pricing, and dimensions.
4. Check the product tag: it should display Image to Sheet.
5. To preview, go back to Products > Images to Sheet in the app and click View on a product.
6. Customers can then enter the desired Quantity and click Add to Cart.

Pro Tip: Be consistent with your Product Type labels, as these help automatically group images for the correct gang sheets. Adjust margins, sizes, and pricing for better print layout optimization and higher profitability.
