Gang Sheet Settings: Gang Sheet File Type

The Gang Sheet File Type setting in the Build A Gangsheet App determines the output format for your print-ready gang sheets. This setting does not affect what your customers upload or submit—it only impacts how the final sheet is exported for printing. This guide explains how to locate and configure this setting.

1. Open Merchant Settings

Navigate to https://app.buildagangsheet.com/merchant/settings to access your merchant dashboard settings.

2. Go to the “Settings” Section

From the left-hand navigation or home tab, click on the Settings section to open configuration options.

3. Select the “Gang Sheet” Tab

Within Settings, click on the Gang Sheet tab to access features related to sheet output and formatting.

4. Choose Your Gang Sheet File Type

In the Gang Sheet tab, locate the Gang Sheet File Type setting. Choose the file format that best aligns with your printing workflow. Options available include:

  • PNG – High-quality raster format suitable for many desktop and DTF printers.
  • PDF – Ideal for vector-preserving output and batch printing setups.
  • TIFF – Useful for large-format or specialized commercial printers requiring lossless output.

Note: This setting is only for your backend export and has no effect on how customers upload their designs.

5. Save Your Changes

Once you've selected the desired file type, scroll down and click Save All to apply the changes to your gang sheet export configuration.

Why Set a File Type?

  • Ensures compatibility with your printing equipment and software.
  • Streamlines the export process by auto-generating the correct format.
  • Reduces the need for manual conversion or external editing.
