How to Upgrade a Plugin in WordPress
Keeping your WordPress plugins up-to-date is essential for performance, compatibility, and security. This guide walks you through upgrading a plugin within the WordPress dashboard using the manual upload method.
1. Log Into the Admin Panel
Navigate to https://bagswpdemo.com/wp-admin/index.php and log in with your administrator credentials.
2. Access Gang Sheet Plugin
From the left-hand menu, click Gang Sheet to begin the upgrade process for this plugin.
3. Start the Upgrade
Click the button labeled Download & Upgrade Now. This initiates the process for downloading the latest plugin package.
4. Add New Plugin
Go to Plugins in the sidebar and click Add New Plugin.
Then select Upload Plugin to proceed with manual upload.
5. Upload the Plugin File
Click the Choose File field labeled Plugin zip file and select the latest plugin ZIP file from your computer.
Then click the upload button to begin installing the new version.
6. Confirm the Replacement
Once the file uploads, click Replace current with uploaded to finalize the plugin upgrade.
The new version will now overwrite the previous one, keeping all settings intact.
