Builder Settings: Enable Background Warning

The Background Warning feature alerts customers when their uploaded image may include a background that could interfere with print quality. This guide walks you through enabling the feature in your Builder Settings and explains how the customer experience works once it's active.

1. Go to Settings

In your Build A Gangsheet App dashboard, click on the Settings option from the main navigation panel.

2. Open the Builder Settings

Within the Settings area, navigate to the Builder Settings tab to find advanced customization options.

3. Enable the Background Warning

Locate the Background Warning toggle. Switch it to ON to activate this alert for customer uploads.

4. Save Changes

Click Save All at the bottom of the page to ensure your settings are applied.

How It Works for Customers

Once this feature is enabled, here’s what customers will experience when uploading an image:

Step 1: Upload Image

Customers will begin by clicking the Upload Image(s) button in the gang sheet builder interface.

Step 2: Background Detection

If the uploaded image contains a background, a warning prompt will appear, giving the customer multiple options.

Step 3: Available Options

  • Don't show again – Disable this warning for all future uploads.
  • Discard – Cancel the current upload if they do not want to proceed.
  • Continue – Proceed without removing the background.
  • Remove Background – Use the built-in tool to delete the background from the image.

  • Improves print quality by helping users catch unwanted backgrounds early.
  • Reduces support requests due to unclear or flawed uploads.
  • Provides a seamless customer experience with simple, intuitive options.
