Presscheck
Presscheck is a 6-point image review that appears whenever a customer uploads an image. It helps catch common print-quality issues before checkout, so the design is more likely to print cleanly.
How to Enable Presscheck
Presscheck can be enabled in two places within your account settings.
Step 1: Enable Presscheck in Builder Settings
- Navigate to Builder Settings.
- Scroll down to the Image Processing & Warnings section.
- Enable Presscheck.
Step 2: Enable Presscheck for Individual Products
After enabling Presscheck in Builder Settings, you'll also need to turn it on for each product where you want image reviews to occur.
- Open the product you want to configure.
- Go to the product's settings.
- Enable Presscheck for that specific product.
What is Presscheck?
Presscheck reviews uploaded images for common print-quality issues and lets customers know when something needs attention. When an issue is detected, customers are given the opportunity to fix it right away before continuing.
What Presscheck Reviews
- Image Trim
Checks whether the image has extra space, unwanted edges, or areas that may need cropping. - Background
Flags backgrounds that may affect the final print, including unwanted white, transparent, or colored areas. - Print Resolution
Checks whether the image quality is high enough for a clean print. - Feathered Edges
Looks for soft, faded, or blurry edges that may not print as expected. - Glows and Drop Shadows
Flags effects that may create unwanted outlines, haze, or print artifacts. - Final Detail
Gives the image one last review for details that may need attention before printing.
How It Works
When Presscheck finds something that needs attention, the customer will see a prompt explaining the issue. They can then fix the image right away before continuing through the upload or checkout process.
Important Note
Presscheck is designed to help customers catch potential print-quality issues before placing an order. Reviewing and resolving these warnings can help improve the final print result.
